Little Wiz will for sure be getting #6 in her stocking. She can't stop playing with my hair ties.

holiday crafting

Wiz and I got into some holiday crafting on Sunday. She picked apart the holiday spruce, chased after berries and kept dipping her paws in the epsom salt. But after an hour of holiday music & wire cutting, we made some pretty cute (and easy) holiday decorations!

All you need: 

 glass jars (mason jars will do)
votive candles
fake berries (i bought a string of berries)
fake spruce (cut up some holiday garland)
epsom salt

1. fill the bottom the glass jar with epsom salt 2. place the candle inside 3. decorate with fake berries & spruce. I even threw in a fake poinsettia for our centerpiece for the island.

Easy peasy.

traveling

last week I was traveling for work. i spent alot of time working from my hotel, getting use to eating meals alone, living out of my suitcase & got to meet some of my colleagues from other campuses. i tackled three airports in two days but i'm still no expert traveler (i need one of those mini-tin rolling suitcases). overall, the events were a success. but i couldn't wait to get home to these guys.

Meet Biscuit

Today is Wizzy Wednesday, but I thought I'd be fun to introduce my big fuzzball Biscuit. He's a big guy missing his tiny tail.





Look at his nub!! Biscuit was rescued as a stray and was already missing his tail when he came to our home a couple years ago. At first, he was tiny. I wish I had photos. Such a cute, itsy bitsy kitten.  But he's become my mom's favorite so somewhere along, he's ballooned. I tell my momma he needs to go on a diet and she tries, but his "stray kitten" habits are still inside him and he eats everything he can get his paws on.

But those cute kitten eyes... so adorable. I know he just wants to eat and be merry.

Overload Wizzy Wednesday

This week I've got a sweet, little helper in the kitchen. She may lack  opposable thumbs, but she does a good job of getting in the way, jumping around and licking open sour cream cartons.







But then again... sometimes she's got her cute days.



Joe calls her a little muskie kitty. What do you think?



Yikes, for one thing - muskie's scare me. I love MN summer time and going boating, but sometimes I get nervous that a muskie will get me when I'm floating, waiting for the boat to turn around when I fall off waterskis or the tube :shock:

That's a bad story to end the post with. But it's hump day so yay! Wednesdays are the best days. February is the best month! I think we got some repetition going!

Little Wiz's second favorite place to nap has to be in this blanket. Her first would be underneath the bed.

In other news, I think I'm going to title "Meal Fail" to "Lesson Learned." I like that it is a process of learning and I think it fits :)

Wiz meets Biscuit on Christmas Day.

This was the only time they kissed. Most of the time, Wiz explored my parent's house while Biscuit stalked from afar. I think he has a crush on her.
